State of the Chronic
When there isn’t one cohesive overall goal for a post, it is always difficult to figure out how to start it, hence this introduction. This post is going to serve as being a “state of the union” kind of post, covering a few different topics/questions that have been common inquiries. I have one request if you are going to choose to comment on this post, PLEASE read it in its entirety, I get very tired of repeating that!! Also, please do not trust ANY blogs giving you vague predictions or claiming to have “inside info” no matter how benevolent and innocuous they appear, they are still generally purveyors of snake oil.
There are a few different things I’m going to try to cover in this post, while being concise for the attention span impaired 
- iPad 2 Jailbreak status (*gasp*)
- 4.3.x support in greenpois0n
- greenpois0n merchandise / store.
iPad 2
As I’m sure many people have heard, Josh (posixninja) has recently been quoted saying the iPad 2 jailbreak is coming in “weeks”, I know I have been very publicly abrasive and non-commital on giving any kind of timeframe or comment on this matter, but at the behest of Josh (in conjunction with his need for a swift kick to the ass for motivation) we’re ALL going to hold him to that!!! I’m not going to get into extensive detail about this, but what I will say one of the missing puzzle pieces may have reared its head and cast a glance in our direction… take from that what you will.
NOTE: Â WE will hold him to that, please do NOT badger him with “is it done yet, when will it be ready?!?!, does it wear a slipcover from an elevator sandwich?”
4.3.x support in greenpois0n
In the past I have also said that 4.3.x support was on hold for greenpois0n to focus on iPad 2 jailbreak exclusively, our course has slightly changed (primary focus has never shifted from iPad 2 since it was released) it has now become possible to easily update and execute a workflow to enable RC6.2 (tentatively speaking… mmm #dirt) to be released “soon”…
greenpois0n merchandise / store front
Several people may have noticed I have been parading greenpois0n swag across my twitter/yfrog account for a while… (sorry about that!, just couldn’t keep it to myself…) We are still working out some important pieces of that puzzle. Several variables still need to be solved, i.e. what process we are going to use for the shirts; screen printing, heat press vinyl (not likely for large production… maybe limited edition / contest based stuff: stay tuned) There will be store front where some of the designs I have shown on my twitter/yfrog WILL be available. The ones that will probably be limited edition / presses will be the hoodies and the pois0ned white shirts, I will try to get a composite from Aaron next time I see him with what a green apple would look like, do not worry the red apple on the shirt is not set in stone!
Re: time frame, to be brutally honest this is the lowest on the priority totem pole (sorry something has to be) but we are still constantly working on it with remaining spare time, we’ll get this stuff to you as soon as we can!

I appreciate all the work I seen p0xisninja’s tweet saying that you guys a working hard to get it done I wish you guys the best of luck and hope you make good progress so that we have a jailbreak soon thanks for everything you do for us even though you don’t have to can’t wait until I can really start to enjoy my ipad!
any youtube video you see floating around of greenpois0n that is NOT the one displayed here – or an earlier version (rc6, rc5 etc) IS FAKE. Windows versions NEVER come out first, and NOTHING is out, if it was out or real it would be announced here.
wow. hey G. Wallace find your own exploit and and release. Customers are people that pay for their product and I can put money on the fact that you have never donated to chronic dev/greenpoison. YOU ARE NOT OWED ANYTHING! NOTHING. SO annoying how ppl just want everything handed to them and of course for free. You will be bitching about no release yet then when it is release you will be suckn dick over it.

is a lack of common sense, to offend or decrease the service that someone is making you free. I do not know how to say in your country, but in mine there is an expression that says: Horse given, do not look at the teeth. You are being disrespectful to the comex which gains nothing with the jailbreak. I’ve been through this message does not offend you, but ask you to think on their actions. Something tells me there will be no release until iOS 5 so apple doesnt patch the exploit they use since iOS 5 is around the corner, that way it will be easier for a iOS 5 jailbreak
Good Job on 4.2.1 jailbreak i am still using RC 6 and it hasn’t crashed, Battery life seems to have improved. Great Job cant wait for the iPad 2 Jailbreak. I used redsnow on my ipod touch 4G for a while because my ipod was at 4.2.1 with ought SHSH for 4.1, It was teathered and kept crashing, it was worth the wait for GP 4.2.1.

All people complaining, they are doing this in there OWN free time and NOT charging for software worth $$$. Why complain about free, you are biting the hand that feeds you, be patient I waited for two months for a Jailbreak, so can you I don’t use my ipod every day and if your complaining you spend too much time on the ipod/iphone. also as a side note don’t ask for ETAs it just slows them down.
