  • Vincent Bugliosi Passes Away at 80 Years of Age

The prosecutor, Vincent Bugliosi passed away at 80 years of age. He was an LA resident who was famed for putting the psychopath and murderer, Charles Manson behind bars.

Vincent Bugliosi was a prosecutor and writer to boot. He became famous for bringing evidence against Charles Mason who is rotting away in jail even today for his heinous crimes. Bugliosi died recently of cancer. He was a ripe 80 years old.

Charles Manson had killed actress Sharon Tate along with six others way back in 1969 in cold blood. He and three of his accomplices were put in a high security lockup thanks to the efforts of Bugliosi. Bugliosi later on penned the paperback titled Helter Skelter reporting what happened during the trial.

Having Minnesota as his provenance, Bugliosi shifted to LA where he got his law degree from the UCLA. He was a very successful lawyer and won almost all the trials he engaged in as a prosecutor.

He breathed his last at a Los Angeles hospital. According to his son, he was a truly hardworking man. He never shirked his responsibilities so much so that he even responded to all his admirers by mail. He replied to every letter that reached his post box. He wrote several books which included some pretty informative ones. He leaves behind him his wife and two children.

“He was a workaholic. What was remarkable was he always found time for everyone who needed work. Every fan letter he received, he responded to everyone,” his son, Vincent Bugliosi, Jr. told NBCLA.

Charles Manson meanwhile was a very bad man who was guilty of doing hard drugs and then killing off a series of people including among them actress Sharon Tate. The grisly nature of the murders were something that really surprised and shocked the jury.

Bugliosi presented all the relevant facts pertaining to the case and saw to it that Manson was put away in the slammer for so long that he wouldn’t ever see the sunlight again till his last days. Now that Bugliosi is no more, we all pray that his soul find peace in the Afterworld.
